week 1 - trial; day 2
![]() ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 5PM, the trial will close, after which everyone is expected to have cast their votes. >Discuss? cast setting rulebook |

[Hinata was scribbling down a couple notes while the sword was speaking, though he does point as if he has an objection. It's not an objection for once, but an addition.]
I spoke with Miata yesterday about the autopsy. Even with the other things that were done to his body, it was definitely either the broken neck or the head trauma that killed him.

( Hehe... )
Hmm... so that's definitely how he died? Takao-kun was really tall. Wouldn't someone have to be tall to break his neck if they came up to him?

Which... could mean he was still alive before being pushed off the roof. In fact... it would have to be, wouldn't it? We haven't found anything like a baseball bat that could have been used to hit him, so...

( Nodding, )
Anyone can find a way to hit someone hard enough in the head but breaking someone's neck would take more force and you'd have to get closer.
But if it all happened at the same time... then why was he on the roof? That's really dangerous!
If we didn't find anything though... he must have fallen or something some how.
( THIS IS HARD )

... If, of course, that is what happened, when it may very well not be.

If the killer was already strong enough to kill Takao, they wouldn't bother drugging him. And there are plenty of strong people here to push suspicion onto.

( Thinking out loud, )
But if he was drugged, then Hanyuu-chan and Youko-san could have done something too, I guess.
( He doesn't want to point any fingers just yet. )

I think among the suspects, the immortals may be more suspicious. Someone made a good point that the passage of time for immortals was a lot rougher than for any normal person. If I felt like I had been here for a hundred years, I would probably kill someone for a chance to get it over with.

( Urashima thinks about this for a second. He isn't quite immortal in the sense tha the's a material item that can break and die but... )
It wasn't easy but I was more worried about the humans since they might not be used to it.

But Lithuania said she felt like so much longer passed her by in years.

But if they were trying something like that, it would imply it was someone with little physical strength themselves.
