week 1 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 1 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? victim suspects         cast setting rulebook

But with that out of the way, he just hums quietly, exhaling a sigh through his nose.]

Where I'm from... I don't know how to explain it. It's just home to me. Are you familiar with Japan at all?

I don't know that I'd call them boring, but you know, sometimes you'd stay up late the night before playing videogames or reading something. It was just... normal classes.

...Can I ask you something else, though? Is there... Do you think there's anything about home you think you've forgotten, before you came here? I don't mean how you got here, that's everybody, but... anything else? Weird gaps in your memory?

[ Let's just all eat spaghetti like losers, that sounds like a good idea. Roxy peers over to see what amazing notes Hinata's making, and is... not really disappointed so much as amused. ]

In the beginning when Miata was speaking with a few of the others, she did mention 'herself and the one running this show', seemingly to imply that there were at least two people altogether. Although, I would not be surprised if that were not exactly the truth, and there was another at the least.

[ That was the perfect time to listen into people's conversations and no one can fault him for it. ]

Well... that's what's most important, then. If I ever need help with uh, anything that needs strength, I'll definitely come to you first.

No, however the girl with the short black hair and the computer mentioned it. I presume the technology, however, is advanced and has tall buildings next to each other?

( He doesn't need it right now though. Instead, he'll set to work, folding part of the paper and tearing that strip off so he has a perfect square shape. And then he'll start folding at it. He stops at some places, trying to remember certain folds and stuff but once he's finished he has an origami turtle. )

[He snorts an unamused laugh through his nose and just draws a couple more random, jagged lines on the paper. Then she asks what he's drawing, and he's forced to take a look at the paper, to reveal a stunning, exact likeness of the Mona Lisa rendered in ballpoint pen-!]
