seven vices week 11 ♫ monday - friday 8 players remaining Upon waking on Monday morning, you experience a short but awful bout of nausea. It's not dissimilar to the same fate one suffers when trying to remove their talisman, but an inspection will reveal that they're still on your person, safe and sound. Accompanying this will be disturbing visions--one look, and suddenly the space around you is nothing but destruction and carnage. Destroyed buildings, the heavy scent of smoke, and scattered bloodstains--even a few screams. But with a blink, the vision fades, and everything is as it should be. The possessions of last week's deceased have vanished, save for Stormfly and the Annoying Dog (the zoo grows stronger!). Anyone investigating will notice that to the far east of the schoolhouse, a library has appeared. Additionally, every locked door in the town will have unlocked at the start of this week. >Investigate? cast setting

Hotel basement

[And she'll be taking a flashlight from out of the General Store in case it's dark down there.]

[vicedirector]

[ The lights work! There's one right by the door, in fact, so Buddy can step right on in.

What she'll notice first are two things: one, that the basement is absolutely huge, taking up the entirety of the hotel floorplan and then some; and two: that it is beyond freezing down there, to the point of being able to see her breath cloud up. ]

[lastgirl]

[Oh well that dampers her mood, she was totally ready for dark spooky exploration.

The cold immediately hits her though, enough so that she runs back upstairs to grab her outdoor jacket and blanket. She wraps the blanket around herself after squeezing into the jacket, and heads back down into the basement only minutes later.

So now fully prepared, she walks down and begins to take a look around. Anything noticeable on just basic glance?]

[Hey Buddy, would you like a search buddy?]

Wow it' s like. Totally freezing down here, huh?

[lastgirl]

[Sure why not.]

Yeah. Almost as cold as outside.

[vicedirector]

[ They can go left or right, being that this place is huge as fuck. Which direction we goin', ladies? ]

[Left!]

[And Buddy is going to go right to cover more ground.]

[vicedirector]

[ For both directions: concrete floors and walls mixed with fluorescent lighting give it a very warehouse-like feel.

To the right, Buddy will find various items stockpiled wall-to-wall--racks of rifles and pistols with ammunition, grenades, and what appear to be bulletproof vests are probably the most noticeable. Next to them are boxes upon boxes of canned and preserved food, cartons of bottled water, and a very small fridge/stove combo.

Behind all of that is a large pile covered by a tarp.

To the left, Poland will find miscellaneous boxes and objects laying near the entrance. Clothes that fit in with the style of everyone's wardrobes are tossed in a heap, most of them ripped or bloodstained. There are ladders, ropes, and spare blankets, and flashlights and candles, mixed with more out-of-place things like numerous cans of red paint, a block of wood with multiple chunks missing, and buckets of salt.

Even further left is a very normal-looking couch, table, and chairs. A wheeled chalkboard rests to the side of it, overlooking a chalk pattern on the floor. ]

[The symbol on the floor is... um. Sure there.

Poland wanders over to look at the chalk board. ]

[lastgirl]

[Meanwhile Buddy is grabbing a pistol, chucking some ammunition into it, and also taking a couple grenades. Yes she is going full army girl, fuck this town. Before she reaches for a vest she notices the tarp and instead opts to take it off.]

[vicedirector]

[ And the other startling revelation of the basement is this.

It's a pile of corpses. ]

[lastgirl]

[oh BOY.

Anyone Buddy would recognize on first sight?]

[vicedirector]

[ None. They're all strangers, men and women alike. Some of them have bloody wounds haphazardly patched up with gauze, but their one shared trait is that they're all in military uniforms. ]

[lastgirl]

[Military huh. This and the weapons, there was clearly some sort of war going on. Are they fresh corpses or old?]

[vicedirector]

[ Fresh. Rot hasn't settled in quite yet, but that's probably due to the basement's freezing temperature. ]

[lastgirl]

[So they might have only died recently. Maybe even just around the time they all arrived.

Buddy, not shy about dead bodies from her homeland experiences, will pat around the uniforms to see if any corpse has something within their pockets.]

[vicedirector]

[ Nothing in any pockets, in their clothes lining, or anywhere else. Just plain uniforms. ]

[vicedirector]

Poland, what's wrong?! [She then notices the chalkboard. All the names, all the words next to them.] What...What the hell is this?

Roxy and Inaba [Wow no longer calling her Himeko ever again, betrayer.] are freaking traitors and know stuff that they're not sharing!

What?

[She shoots Poland a confused look and then takes a closer inspection of the board. Before it didn't stand out to her because of how cluttered it was, but then she sees the markers. "Mole."

Buddy doesn't explicitly know what the word means in this context, but she does know what a "traitor" is. And a small anger starts bubbling up in her as well.]

Not just them. Alisha, Break...even fucking Lithuania and Rhys. What...What the fuck is this?!
