seven vices week 1 ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. Curiously, anyone who has spoken with Miata for any period of time during the past week will notice that the voice coming from the television and her own do not match up. Come Tuesday, the footsteps around the void will begin drifting away from it. The pitter-patter of feet can be heard when standing outside the clinic and chapel as well. On top of the food that was added to the kitchen last week, spaghetti noodles and tomato sauce is now available. You're welcome, Papyrus. >Mingle? Ha, yeah... I don't know how strict they are about their rules, but I think you're right not to be the one to test them out. Even with immunity, I don't want to find out what would happen if I messed around with it.

Some of my brethren do use firearms, and I suppose one could call them "laser guns" [What crude terminology though, goodness.] However, we receive training based on our latent abilities, as opposed to personal preference. I'll spare you the details on how exactly that's determined, [MOSTLY BECAUSE CANON NEVER SAYS ANYTHING BEYOND IMPLYING IT'S A VERY LONG STORY? It would be perfect for whiling away the time, but, alas...] but I showed an aptitude for the sword. And so that is what I use in battle.

[Though why it isn't a laser sword or something is another matter entirely. Because, no, it really is just a plain old sword. With a weird blue blade, but that's apparently just aesthetic.]

Not this time. [There are other strong "guests", some who have even ran with him before, but none have been quite as consistent from what Takao has seen so far. The "occupation" field is pretty bleak in that respect, from his perspective.]

Now that the briefing is over, on to the "mess hall" for us, then? [He plays into the military jargon as best he can, though he doesn't inflect it with the correct formality. That Urashima is in an army hasn't even entirely been made clear to Takao - being a sword might not be the same thing as participating in attacks.]

[It's a testament to how spaced out she is that Clover absolutely surprises her when she calls out her name, coming out of the pantry just as Buddy nears the entrance. Buddy at least doesn't scream, but she does take a few startled steps back. It's not often she's caught off-guard. Not a good sign of things.]

Clover. [Her voice is lethargic and tired, as is her face.] Looking for something to eat?
