week 1 - trial; day 1
![]() ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? setting rulebook |

( It's hard to really understand what a human must have felt like this week but he's trying. )
He should have found someone to go with him.

( THAT'S JUST BAD LUCK. )

So if he died between eleven and three is he the kind of guy who'd wander around by himself to go to another floor to find someone he really liked to walk to the clinic with or would he just go with whoever he liked that was closest?
[Poland knows literally nothing about any of these people.]

Or maybe he was already impaired?
How long does it take for that medical cocktail to make you woozy anyways? Should we inject it into somebody human just to see?

Hey maybe we can inject it into me, I'm protected. [Also not a human.]

How are we supposed to figure out how fast it works then? We need like some kind of timeline to work with?
I mean if he was that messed up, all they would have had to do was put him on the roof and wait for him to stumble off himself-- before proceeding to do a million unnecessary things.

What do you think happened then?

But like. Something I really don't get is why they tried to burn things like scissors, but wanted people to find the drugs.
Although I guess even trying to burn scissors was dumb because scissors don't burn?
[Poland's trying really hard to connect the dots here.]

Morphine was found in the laundry room, and benadryl in the refrigerator in the kitchen. Both have been used. In the bonfire, there were burned scissors, a piece of blue polyester fabric, and some plastic. Latex gloves and one syringe are unaccounted for.

Um...

So they had to know something about how drugs react-- and how to administer those drugs.
And they had to be able to get on the roof without disturbing much snow. Somehow. Unless there's a really simple way to get on the roof that we're totally missing.
And. Is it completely apparent that gravity broke him into pieces or could he have been ambushed and really pummeled?
I still don't get the fire. Or the laundry room. Or the fridge.

That was the impression I got from him this week, at least.
