week 1 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 1 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? victim suspects         cast setting rulebook

[Poland doesn't want to hear about "how bad of a wife she was" in front of every one. Actually she doesn't want to hear about it at all. It makes her upset!

This situation is depressing enough as it is.]

[Poland can almost see the gears grinding against each other in Lithuania's head, but she doesn't want to talk about it!]

Maybe we just need to completely switch directions.

Like. What's the plastic thing supposed to be anyway?

Could it be part of the gloves? I'm not sure if it's hard plastic or something you could theoretically make a glove out of. Latex isn't plastic, really, but it would be hard to tell if it's just one small piece...

Are there anymore gloves, maybe we can char one up to compare?

That's not a bad idea. I believe there's a whole box.

[It probably would.] That's one experiment, at least. If it works, that's one explanation for one thing. [Now the rest...]

Hey, do you really think Vegemite's too dumb to do this?

I don't know enough about him to say either way. I don't think it seems like his style, but I'm not going to place him above or below the other suspects in likelihood as of yet. [Lithuania prefers a very logical approach.]

[Poland has a less logical opinion on things.]

Like I mean. I get the style thing but.

If he's so prideful, how come he's not defending himself against being called dumb?

[He's jumping down people's throats about everything else under the sun.]

It wouldn't be the smartest move, defending yourself against something people are using to defend you. [Even if it's embarrassing.]

Exactly.

So then he's not dumb. If he were actually dumb, he'd be howling about how not stupid he truly is.

Right?

He's at least smart enough to know when shutting up could help him survive, yes. [At least in this one instance.] It's not proof he did anything here, but it doesn't absolve him of potential guilt either.

[Poland looks content, getting what she needed from antagonizing Vegeta.]

I just wanted to make sure that at least some people weren't ruling him out for something silly like that.

[If he did it of course they gotta prove it with evidence. Not just because people think someone is dumb! That's dumb!]
