week 0 - continuation

seven vices week 0

tuesday - sunday

With that revelation, things are sure to be more tense--or maybe, you prefer to go the hope route? Either way, the atmosphere of the town begins changing ever so subtly. Once in a while, you can feel someone staring at you from behind, though when you turn to check, no one will be there. Footsteps can also be heard echoing when one stands close to the void, even when alone....of course, no one will be there, either.

As of Tuesday, extra food will be found in the kitchen. The ingredients are very based in Western cuisine: rye and wheat bread, potatoes, cabbage, beets, onions, cucumbers, assorted mushrooms, and the like are all supplied. In addition, there are also miscellaneous spices, eggs, milk, and an abundance of fish and pork. Various dishes made with the above ingredients will also be set out for anyone to take during lunch and dinner.

A copy of the rulebook has been pinned to the front of the chapel, and a wooden sign now stands at the east edge of town near the clinic: Welcome to Lebensbaum | EST. 1623 | Population: ♜♜♜♜♜♜♜. The bonfire will be lit every night from 10PM to 6AM, after which it will extinguish on its own.

>Mingle?

mothercat: talking (he's my best friend)

[ He sure does! As if sensing there are eyes on them, they twitch, swivel, then go back into a stationary position. ]

That's a good idea. I'd suggest we post watches at night to make sure no one's doing anything unsavory, but that might be a bad idea. It just means we put people out in the cold, alone. And partnering up is a different brand of trouble.

[The ears are real.]

Mm... that much is true. It is difficult to choose watches from those who may not be trustworthy. We still do not know what motives they will attempt to give us.

That's another problem. [ Maybe they'll learn more later, but by then it'll be too late for one person. He rubs the back of his head anxiously and his tail starts to sway to-and-fro like a pendulum. ]

We could always wait and see what they throw at us, but I'm not so sure that's a good idea either. Trying to prevent deaths is better than standing around doing nothing [ ... ]

How about self-defense lessons?

That is not a terrible idea, but... I do not know that we have the time.

[... to teach a noncombatant enough to be able to fight off a soldier, for instance. Still...]

So long as there are no better plans, however, I believe we may as well try. Were you volunteering?
mothercat: neutral, talking (do you have a best friend too?)

[personal profile] mothercat 2016-02-16 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
[ No, they likely don't. And... he slowly shakes his head "no." ]

I wish I could help. Unfortunately, my methods of fighting don't translate too well. It's not something I can teach a beorc.

... Pardon?

[??? She's not from this FE, pls explain?]

A "beorc"?
