seven vices week 0 ♫ tuesday - sunday With that revelation, things are sure to be more tense--or maybe, you prefer to go the hope route? Either way, the atmosphere of the town begins changing ever so subtly. Once in a while, you can feel someone staring at you from behind, though when you turn to check, no one will be there. Footsteps can also be heard echoing when one stands close to the void, even when alone....of course, no one will be there, either. As of Tuesday, extra food will be found in the kitchen. The ingredients are very based in Western cuisine: rye and wheat bread, potatoes, cabbage, beets, onions, cucumbers, assorted mushrooms, and the like are all supplied. In addition, there are also miscellaneous spices, eggs, milk, and an abundance of fish and pork. Various dishes made with the above ingredients will also be set out for anyone to take during lunch and dinner. A copy of the rulebook has been pinned to the front of the chapel, and a wooden sign now stands at the east edge of town near the clinic: Welcome to Lebensbaum | EST. 1623 | Population: ♜♜♜♜♜♜♜. The bonfire will be lit every night from 10PM to 6AM, after which it will extinguish on its own. >Mingle? This is the last open mingle for Week 0. [There are worse ways to pass the time. Kaguya finds the amount of food amusing, at the very least. She's...not great at cooking herself, despite living so long. Perhaps she's simply not suited for it.]

Planning on feeding an army?

[No warning or anything, she's just...standing there in the doorway.]

[ rhys is seriously in the pancake zone here but after a moment, he blinks back into awareness and looks over at kaguya. then at the pancakes. a sheepish kind of grin now. ]

Hey, you're more than welcome to have some! I mean, I'll probably eat like... a few.

[ please take his pancakes ]

[At least she's polite enough to wait for that before wandering over.]

Why, thank you. If you're not planning on eating this much, why make them?

[She's curious. It seems like a waste, although she's not complaining. She's getting a meal out of this, after all. It takes her a moment to put a few pancakes on her plate. It wouldn't do to get her sleeves dirty!]

but at her question, he just looks down at the pan and runs a hand through his hair. why did he make this much? ]

I realized I hadn't eaten all day so I thought hey, why not? And then I couldn't really... stop... Now I have to use up all the batter or it'll just sit there. Get old. Maybe smell a little.

That would be unpleasant, wouldn't it?

[Honestly, she'd find that more unpleasant than the idea of watching people get murdered.]

Can these even be stored after being made? [She pokes at a pancake with a fork. It's not something she's accustomed to eating, but she's not complaining. Oatmeal is too dull. They're like thicker crepes. And she's going to go ahead and snag a few pieces of bacon while she's at it.]

Exactly! So awful. And gross. And smelly. It would smell so bad.

[ rhys, you didn't really need to say more but oh well. he just continues focusing on the pancake he's dealing with now, flipping it over after a moment. he glances over at her serving himself before lifting a shoulder in a shrug. ]

Not really sure. All the food kind of... disappears after a while? Then it gets replaced? But this is the first time I've cooked stuff here. There's, uh, probably not much tupperware, huh?

[That doesn't exist in her world. So she just gives him a curious look as she begins eating. For someone who isn't used to forks, she's got it down pretty good.]

Yeah, tupperware.

[ he looks over at kaguya then, brow furrowing. does she... not know what tupperware is? god, it's like everyone here is missing half their brain cells. ]

The small plastic containers you put food in to keep it fresh? That's a thing.

I'm afraid those do not exist where I come from.

[Although it does sound pretty nifty.]

Well, they should. What do you even do with your leftovers?

[ why are you so old. he puts the new pancake on the pile and immediately adds another to the pan with the batter. totally has done this way too many times already tonight. ]

We feed them to the rabbits. Or the local shrine maiden. Whichever comes begging first.

[Old doesn't even begin to describe her.]

Seems like a waste. Shouldn't they just be cooking for themselves? And if you always feed the rabbits, they'll keep showing up. Like pests.
