week 8 - trial; day 1
![]() ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? setting rulebook |
DAY 1 END
Everyone is allowed to wrap up their conversations, but all evidence must be left inside the chapel. After all have exited, Miata locks the doors behind her and starts the walk back to the hotel. ]
((Feel free to thread out any evening interactions, here.))

While she does have the Miku AI - which, apparently is now A Thing - with her. And maybe you'd think that she'd be good for once. Maybe she'll be innocent, maybe she'll not... happen... to play... a song....
(Whether it actually translates or not, it is a mystery.)
It does sound like a very catchy song, though. One that the Miku on the laptop screen seems to be happy about. Investigate? ]

Although, eventually, Dhaos can be found in the kitchen, probably trying to make some tea, however, instead of making it, he's staring at it, probably a bit lost in his thoughts once more. He's a bit concerned and just a bit paranoid. But, he's trying to be hopeful. ]

[She's gonna bother you until you say something, Dhaos. Especially if you're just gonna stare at the tea and not do anything with it, because she wants to make tea too dammit.]

[ Dhaos relaxes a bit, once the voice reveals it to be Satori. Well, you're actually one of the few people worth his time here, so. ]
Since it is you, I suppose you could listen in to the simple thought of myself perhaps... being bothered. A lot has happened, but in the end, having faith in people is still a dubious concept to me.
[ "People" as in humans. Although that came out awkwardly, as usual on his part. ]
I should hope that no one simply has any sudden foolish ideas, that is all.

[ Thank god it's just Yoite here, otherwise he'd die from embarrassment. What kind of person messes up making tea... ]

Are you going to stare at that or are you actually going to make it? [ At least she's being polite, even with her laptop carried in her arms; it's not closed, but that's only because she has Priorities here. ]

[ He just. Begins to sort of move the teacup a little on the counter to the side, and move a bit as well.....he's assuming she wanted to make something...
It might be obvious he's not making it because he got distracted. Shush. ]
...Are you intending on making on something for yourself as well?

Sadly, when he wakes up the dog is (probably) still asleep so he has no choice but to leave it where it lay and go out and find out what he's missed.
And find Yoite. The second task isn't all that difficult and once he finds Yoite, he waves to him in greeting. ] Good morning. [ It is not morning. ]

Really tired.
It's been a long day. WHat did they even figure out anyways. Aside from Poland has small feet and confirmation she stuffs her bra. Ugh.
Don't mind her crawling under the kitchen table with a bowl of cereal.]

CLOVER'S LETTERS
Here. We found this in Clover's room - she wanted you to have it. [There's...probably a better way to put this, but ugh emotions that aren't passion and rage how do they work.]

Then he pauses, fingers curling tightly around it as he stares at the envelope and slowly draws it to him. He doesn't open it immediately, just holding the envelope for now and noting that it's sealed.]
...You didn't open it...?

After a moment of stark silence, hands gently crumpling up the sides of the letter as she clutches it, she folds it up and nods.]
Thank you.
