week 7 - trial; day 2

seven vices case 7 trial, day 2 ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. It's not that I don't believe you, it's that everyone else has other people saying they saw them, so you had the largest gap. Honestly, if you really drank everything in your room, I'm surprised you woke up in the morning at all.

The way he was being talked about, he didn't sound that admirable, is all.

That's true, but it did involve running in the end, and she didn't do a good job of that even when Laima was going for her.

Yeah, but it sounds like everyone but her and I has been eliminated because alibis.

[Lithuania nods.] If I consider you, then I think that you didn't know enough about electricity to set up the trap. But then, going to Charlotte, she doesn't seem athletic enough. But, of course, it's possible you learned about electricity or that Charlotte had a lot of faith in Laima not actually hurting her even before she knew it wasn't going to happen.

It's been about two months since we arrived. Even I didn't live with much electricity back in my homeland and learned plenty about it here.

I'm certainly not ruling it out--it's just hard to prove that someone knew about something.

Roxy told me it was captured lightning back when I asked, I never...bothered to look into it more. Look, can we consider I have absolutely no motive to do this? Unlike some people, I don't think retiring is anything great, and I wouldn't sacrifice one person for that, let alone two. Especially not people I liked! If I was going to kill anyone, it'd be Inaba!

Astrid has no real motive. Her motive is a crush on a guy, ok. It's even lamer than Rhys' bodypillows, goddamn.
