On Friday morning, the loss of the motive isn't terribly noticeable. As there were no mental effects this week, and everyone had taken their envelopes to at least destroy them, it's almost impossible to tell that something is off.

Unless of course you're getting up in the wee hours. Perhaps just to go to the bathroom? Whatever your reason, though, something is noticeably wrong--the power is out.

[Okay, so as not to clutter Dhaos's lovely body investigation...Certain People are gonna arrive here and now.]

[Congrats, Inaba. It's like your thought that MAYBE Faize shouldn't go in the pool actually ended up summoning him. Because the door bangs open almost as soon as she finishes her sentence, revealing one (1) pajama-clad elf who looks about two seconds away from a panic attack.]

[At least it's dark and he's on the wrong side of the room to actually SEE the bodies in detail but...he can tell he's just walked in on a murder scene at least, and that's enough to make him stop dead in his tracks in the doorway.]

[There's definitely some sounds from behind Faize like someone tripped and fell face-first onto the floor behind him. Thus it's a couple long seconds before Hinata comes up behind Faize, glancing up over his shoulder.

That's also probably when the body discovery announcement happens. This is fine.]

[ That's definitely a bad sign as she freezes up for a second before making absolutely sure that she's in front of them. She's frantic, but at the same time she can't help but speak in an angry voice. ]

You guys need to get out. Right now. [ This is a warning. Whether they take it or not is another question. ] Two people are fucking dead and one of them is decapitated and I swear to god you really don't want to see this shit.

[You really don't want to see this shit. Truer words have likely never been spoken these past few months, and yet, they go completely unheeded. Because the lights are on now, and even with Inaba standing in front of the bodies...the hair on the non-decapitated one is unmistakable, even soaking wet.]

[Faize's body suddenly feels like lead. This can't be right. This can't be real, and yet...]

[Faize hasn't said a word since he and Hinata arrived in the lobby. And even now, with his worst fears confirmed, he still doesn't. Instead, the first sound to come out of his mouth, after all this time is...laughter.]

[Completely humorless, almost forced laughter that starts out slow and soft but grows louder and more broken as the seconds tick by. Roxy, wherever she is behind Hinata, will probably recognize it. From that one morning in the kitchen all those weeks ago during grief week.]

[When you've literally never dealt with actual, genuine grief EVER in your life, you don't always have the most appropriate response to it.]

[But the wrongness of Faize's reaction to this doesn't end there. Oh no, of course not. Anyone close enough to Faize who happens to look at his face will notice something pretty fucking weird about his eyes. No, not the glassy wetness of tears that have yet to fall, that much is probably completely expected. But what was once purple is now a glowing neon red. It's a shame the lights are on now because this would have been a hell of a lot trippier in the dark, but them's the breakers apparently.]

[Well if Inaba's telling them to get out, and Roxy is technically accompanying them as you do, there's really only a very small handful of people who could be deda. And considering one of the members of teen cuddle squad disappeared at some point this morning--

It's then he hears Faize's laughter, and his blood chills. That's... listen, there's being bad with emotion, and then there's something like that. He's never heard laughter like this before, not even back on the island he was so rudely taken from.]

...F-Faize?

[Okay now he is moving past him, lightly touching his arm. Come back to reality, dude. Even if. Hm. Mm. Maybe reality is not the best thing for you right now.]

C-c'mon, Inaba's right, let's...

[He trails off, because asking Faize to leave like this just feels wrong. But keeping him here feels like it'd be even worse. Also wtf is up with your eyes?? #AllEldariansOrJustFaize2k16 continues.]

( The lights are indeed on just in time for Faize to see Alisha's body but wait there's more.

Now that the lights are on and everyone can see, there is a third body floating face-down at the very edge of the back of the pool. )

[Whatever is up with his eyes, it stops as the laughter cuts off with an abrupt, surprised gasp. Arm touching was a good idea, Hinata, thank you for getting this despair train back on the rails. Faize is fine now, no need to worry. Ignore the fact that he still looks like he's about to cry.]

[No, really, you should probably worry. BUT FIRST. WE SHOULD...ALL PROBABLY WORRY ABOUT THAT THIRD FUCKING BODY? Which Faize hasn't even noticed yet because he's biased. Even when Alisha is dead, he's biased.]

Faize....

[NO HE'S HELLA WORRIED BRO. He really wants to retreat and maybe try to figure out some way of teaching Faize exactly how normal people are supposed to deal with grief but oh god why is there a third body.]

W-wait, t-the announcement... the announcement only said two!

[He's just... keeping that hold on Faize's arm, trying to guide him along with him to find the third body. Let's... not... look toward the #confirmed dead blonde over by Dhaos.]

Maybe one's a fake...

[ Because that definitely could be a thing. Looks like Inaba's sticking around, if only because she's low key worried about Faize. Okay, she lied, she's hella worried, even if she doesn't show it. ]

( It's a body, guys.

No, really, as they get closer they'll realize something is really off about the body. It doesn't look like anythign they know... it's a mannequin.

Also because I totally 100% am on the ball tonight, there's also something written on the pool's wall by where Gilbert's body was found. Written in blood are the letters

[Alright well it was too late to get Faize out, but as soon as Hinata realizes it's not actually a person, he's just going to... keep that grip on Faize's arm and try to reverse direction. He sure is a decisive one!]

Let's... c'mon, let's.... let's go, Faize, we need to...

[They need to do something. He doesn't know what, but he has a feeling that having Faize face Alisha's body right now is not going to end well.]

I...

[Oh hey. He can still talk after all. His eyes have not left Alisha's body at all. Mannequin? What mannequin. Who cares. Alisha is dead and nothing is okay right now, nor will it be for any time in the foreseeable future.]

[Why didn't he just go with her?]

[It's clear he doesn't want to leave, but Hinata is also much bigger than Faize so he actually shouldn't have too much trouble leading him out of the pool and to...literally anywhere else. Please take him somewhere else, Hinata.]

...Come on.

[We are absolutely going somewhere else, friendo. The grip on Faize's arm is gentle but insistent, and if need be he'll march the other boy out of the pool room. It's Time To Go. To... the lobby, probably? There's blood in the lobby, shit.

Inaba, please handle the crowd, Hinata's going to take Faize back toward the stairs. Stairs are safe, right?]

[ Okay, was this someone's idea of a joke? Well, he doesn't find it very funny.

Regardless, he decides to go and pull the mannequin out as well (probably for completionist's sake unless there was something weird on the fake body as well) and assuming that's all there is around here? ]

( Actually, I'd b careful grabbing that mannequin because as soon as Dhaos touches it, he'll feel a sharp shock. Sure hope he pulled his hand back real fast. )

[ He sure did, eyes narrowing at that. He doesn't very much like being... shocked (like everyone else but still). But then again he's not human, so he can brave it more than some people here. This time he quickly grabs it and tosses it onto the pool tiles.

Then, he'll just come out of the water. Is there anything else? ]

( Good job, Dhaos. He might have some mild electrical burns depending on how his powers work in game so...

But checking out the pool, Dhaos might notice that there are lights in the pool! Normal pool lights, you know? One light is out. Closer inspection will reveal that the light is shattered and broken. )

[ Fun times. Either way, they're ones he can shrug off for now. The investigation was more important.

Looks like once again someone went to town re: lights.

Now that the mannequin's out of the pool, he'll just circle it to give the thing a cursory look without any touching if he can help it. Perhaps he is trying to see if there was a device of some sort sticking out or what not. ]
