week 6
![]() 24 players remaining ♫ monday - sunday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After that...announcement, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a record store next to the clothing store. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Cheshire and Lucyhave been hung up. Anyone looking for it will find that Lucy's machete is now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 6's mingle log, covering Monday to Sunday. As this is a breather week, there will be no investigation or trial. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. If you plan on having any private conversations between characters, remember to let us know in the post linked below. setting rulebook profiles private conversations |
wednesday!
[But with Gilbert's luck, it's been happening anyway... Truly excellent. He sighs, rubbing at the side of his head and then leaning against the doorframe.]
They're... really all over the place, aren't they?
no subject
It is utterly ridiculous. You cannot even avoid such nonsense by placing yourself in your room.
... I am guessing you have found quite an amount on your part?
no subject
Not as much as some- [RIP POLAND AND LITHUANIA] -but more than I'd have ever wanted. It's not much like a "hunt" at all. I think they're just trying to wage some sort of bizarre psychological warfare.
no subject
Yes... this is not a proper 'hunt' or 'search' if they just leave it out in the open where people would be passing through easily anyway. Since they are watching us and no one is dying this week, I also surmise they need to get their entertainment somehow from our reactions.
[ He is not very happy about freaking out about a kidney. ]
no subject
That sounds like the exact sort of thing they would do... They really even can't bear to leave us alone for a full seven days, can they?
no subject
No. I wonder if something like this occured again with no killing they would set up another grotesque 'game'. Although probably with no real clues left behind besides 'parts' again.
no subject
I'd say it's better than one of us murdering the others, but someone is still dying.
[And he sure doesn't trust the disembodied voice when she says they deserved it.]
no subject
Yes. It seems like they were just simply arbitrarily killed. Whether or not they did deserve it, we can only truly discern for now that they managed to incite the anger of Katerina and likely her compatriots.
[ To Dhaos he is just sure Katerina is a crazy human, so. He naturally does not take her word at it, especially when she doesn't want to elaborate. ]
no subject
Not untrue.]
We'll need to get to the bottom of that as quickly as possible, too. The less blood that's shed, the better off we'll all be.
no subject
[ ... ]
Although, I have a feeling if we could find a key to that filing cabinet, we could undoubtedly find something of worth in there.

no subject
That makes sense. Perhaps we'll even find such an item within two weeks.
[ He is thinking more like six because he is actually kind of a mix between hopeful and cynical. ]
no subject
That would be more helpful than anything else that we've been given over the weeks, at least.
[Which means it surely won't happen.]
