week 5 - day 2 trial
![]() ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn, after which everyone is expected to have cast their votes. >Discuss? She doesn't have it with her.]
It's in my room. Why do you need it?

I need to make some comparisons regarding the crime scene. Although, considering your state, I do not mind going to your room myself with an escort.
[ He feels uncomfortable being alone in lady's rooms without proper permissions. ]
I'm surprised Undyne didn't take note of it, however...

What? Why would I have taken note of it? There's nothing weird about keeping something like that in your room! I have a giant sword in mine back home! [#justgirlythings]

Because it is a weapon in a suspect's room. It could have been used in the crime. Although if we discover it wasn't, then it would still assist in Lucy's case.

[She is being helpful because she has no idea where this is coming from. You guys. Go get her machete then???]

[ Hey the sooner Dhaos gets this cleared up, the sooner this means this was either a waste of time or it assists in Lucy's case. He's going to grab Lucy's machete or something now? Presumably it is against the back closet in her room? ]

... Mm. It appears it wasn't used at all.

[She seems honestly surprised.]
Of course not! It hasn't been touched since the second week.

Someone would have likely brought it up eventually, as the gas pipe had been slashed at with something sharp. It was better to get it over with.
[ He sighs. Who did the thing? ]
no subject
I see. I'm glad you ruled it out then. Thank you.

... This is proving to be a bit difficult. But I am glad to have been of assistance.
[ Was he wrong? ]
That said, I am little curious. Do you have any thoughts on the others listed?

I know without a doubt it couldn't have been Clover. [The surest she sounds before she gets a bit more hesitant.] I don't think Inaba would ever do anything like this either. I wasn't very close to Bill or Satori though. I don't know what they would do but...
Out of the options they are the only ones I could believe did it since I know everyone else better.
[She does sound a bit apologetic about Satori since he is obviously friends with her but, well, these are her biases.]

I see. At the very least, you gave an honest answer.
[ Regardless of the circumstances, he does not think he can fault her for that. ]
