seven vices case 5 trial, day 2 ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. ( All evidence points to the shrapnel coming from the stove. However, the stove is pretty demolished... the racks are broken, the metal is twisted and bent, it looks like the shrapnel consists of parts of the oven itself. )

[Alright, that makes sense. Now, what areas of the room does it look like the shrapnel missed? Is it consistent with Lucy's story of her being halfway across the room and Cheshire being really close to the oven?]

[While Lithuania's looking for shrapnel, Hinata's looking for vents. Where are the vents in the kitchen? Is it possible to toss a match from the vent into the stove?]

( There are vents in the kitchen. There are vents everywhere, to be honest but there is definitely one in the kitchen. It isn't possible to throw a match into the stove from it. )

[Are there any signs anyone was in the kitchen vent at all?]

( None! )

( It looks like Lucy was telling the truth. There's shrapnel everywhere except for where their bodies were found, for the most part. )

[No signs that a third person was lurking around nearby who might have gotten off with far more minor injuries, then? Next thing to do is to check the floor for what parts of it look like they were sprinklered on and what parts look like they were obscured by objects or bodies. She's expecting to see two spots, one for where Lucy was and one for where Cheshire was, but is there anything else?]

( It doesn't look like there would have been a third person in the kitchen, no.

[Back to checking on the kitchen! Lithuania is going to examine the knobs on the stove. They're set to off, right? Are they actually on the right way--that is, did anyone pop the knobs off so it only looked like the stove was off?]

[ The knobs are fine and in place. Or, as in place as they would be after a big fucking explosion. ]

[ This is probably obvious and a waste of time, but Dhaos is going to see if the slash marks can be comparable to a knife's marks or rather the very same knife that looked like it had some use. ]

( Hmmmm the slash marks actually don't match any knife! )

[ Coming back with the machete. Would the slash marks be comparable with a machete? This is getting ridiculous... ]

( The marks are too shallow to come from the machete. )

[ Okay, doubling back, and trying to see if the serrated knife could have severed the gas pipe??? Since the explosion distorted it but what severed it.

Look the gas is off so he could just try to make another hole if it's possible? ]

( Is he going to use another similar knife from the kitchen? Becaues the one from evidence is worn down. )

( Let's say he tests it on a piece of pipe, okay.

It isn't easy and the teeth on the knife wear down very easily but he will manage to cut through the pipe. It's hard to compare against the original pipe bc it exploded and all but the knife is a match for the one in evidence, at least. )
