week 5 - day 1 trial
![]() ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? VOTING setting rulebook |

You did the same to me when I was on trial.

[ Here he goes. He's going to try. ]
It was his first time being in such a situation. You seem to be very familiar with situations like these in comparison. Eventually he told someone something, and even though that information was crucial not every detail needed to be known. Just that he had a private conversation with Takao and that the human seemed fine at the time.
You cannot even answer properly 'yes' or 'no' to a question regarding motive. Do you honestly think this is the time to be petty about what occurred in the past or like many, you just can't let it go to even assist your own case?

Situations like— [There's half a moment where she goes pale, eyes going wide and her breath catching, but in an instant she's back to fury. She counts off each point on her fingers:] We could have spent way less time talking in circles about the cough drops and crap if he'd bothered to help us out at all, your motive questions weren't yes-or-no, you're changing your damn story every time you get a chance, and you need to get the hell away from me! [Her hands ball into fists.] Just the sight of you is pissing me off!

You could have answered the question with 'yes I did have a motive to have vengeance against this person' or in the negative. How about you stop spinning tales?
At this point, I'm thinking you are likely a good as any candidate to murder Cheshire and if I 'piss' you off so much, then you could do both of us a favor and step away yourself.
[ He's over nearby Yoite and Satori. You think he's going to move further from them? He turns away from her, however. He expects her to walk off. He ain't doing it. ]

You demanded a "why or why not," you lying asshole! The way you talk, when you finally snap and murder someone, we'll have you figured out before the first day's even up, assuming we aren't lucky enough to have someone kill you first!
[and okay she probably did have to put some amount of distance between her and Lucy to divebomb into this conversation and be a proper defense squad, even if she's definitely way more likely to just scream across the chapel than let their shared pew out of reach, so she does storm off back to her.]
