seven vices case 5 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. [The bathroom - surprise, surprise - is also a mess. Though this is more of a "someone has picked up, opened, spilled and moved a lot of things" kind of mess rather than let's just throw garbage everywhere. It's cluttered too, with all the bathroom things that weren't fixed to walls on the counter and in the sink. There is also two unopened packs of cigarettes in the sink. The toilet is free of food and any other obstructions. The tub is dry, surprisingly clean, and the shampoo, conditioner and soap all look like they've been used normally. Amazing. There are also no wet towels or anything to be found either.

The beds are impeccably made save for the potato and clothes. And potato and clothes are all that's on them, the former being on the bed closest to the door while the latter laid out on the other one. The potato is uninteresting, as it was just being saved to be eaten later. There's nothing under the covers, in the mattresses, in the pillows and, other than candy wrappers, under the bed. Beside the bed by the door, however, there is a large snack pile, as well as some beverages and empty beverage bottles, all non-alcoholic.

Also no, he does not know about brushing teeth. A class would probably do at least him a world of good.]

Oh my gods. He's going to kill himself. I mean, we all knew that already, but come on.

[ Does he eat any vegetables ever. ...Raw potatoes not included. Astrid will go to the dresser and sort through the drawers...are there more candy wrappers. ]

[He eats any other raw vegetables that are in the fridge! Those count, right?

The nightstand is cluttered, but not with candy wrappers, and it's more of a neat and controlled kind of clutter. There's lots of papers on there, the top few looking to have various doodles of a little triangle man with a top hat, bow tie and single eye. There's evidence that the papers peeking out from under these are written on as well. His notepad is also there, looking like it's been used pretty often, the cover bent a little and some scraps of paper sticking out of it here and there. Some poorly made origami creatures are on there as well, a few having fallen to the floor. Anything you want to investigate specifically, Roxy?

Astrid, meanwhile, will find the top of the dresser covered in more snacks and snack wrappers, but that's it. The only drawer that has anything in it is the top drawer, and the top drawer contains some pencils and pens, the envelope from this week and his rulebook, which is considerably thicker than when it was handed to them. There's paper sticking out of it here and there, corners of notepad paper ripped out or blank colored paper, and some of the pages look to be dog eared. Do you wanna check either of those out?]

[ Astrid wants to examine all her stuff, too! WHAT'S IN THE ENVELOPE, she will open it nosily. She'll also start flipping through the rulebook. What are the bookmarked or dog eared pages? What's the loose paper? ]

[Well Roxy, that stack of paper has lots more doodles than just the triangles. There's some somewhat childlike doodles of all the other residents in the game too. Nothing mean or anything, no bagels with hair antenna, just doodles of them. There's doodles of Faize's ears on one page too. His real ears, not those weird metal things he thinks are fashionable. There's one page half filled with riddles and answers, and two or three pages filled with tic tac toe games, all of them one by the O side. She'll also find one page that looks like a to-do list, with the entries "Make nicknames for everyone, Do some networking, Learn what that sweet cooked bread is called, Do laundry" crossed out, and the entries "Learn to make french toast, Do laundry correctly, Learn to swim, Ask Miata for silly straws" all starred.

The notepad is full of detailed notes on the various buildings in the town. Keen observations about building structure and state of disrepair, lists of items that can be found in each of the locations and points of interest (Piano in the school house, for example) written down. There's a piece of paper folded up that contains a simple map of the town, which has been added to as more is revealed. It's not super accurate of course, more just for reference. She'll find a list of foods that he likes, the sweeter options all starred, and instructions on how to properly do laundry written down. The back of the notepad is filled up with what look very obviously like blue prints for some sort of machine or machines, but there's no words or anything to indicate what any of it is.

Astrid will find in the envelope a picture of a book and nothing else. Looking through the rulebook yields a lot more though. The rule portion itself is mostly untouched, with a couple notes written down to remind him of important rules to pay attention to, but the profile section is different. Each profile has a collection of papers listing various observations about the person. What they look like, any habits or daily rituals they seem to have (Faize has like an entire schedule written down, since he's so damn predictable), if they're virtues instead of sins, just lots of notes from lots of people watching and observation. On the profile pages themselves he's written their nicknames down, and he's drawn an X over the pictures of people who are dead. Buddy's page is missing completely.

Faize, Urashima, Kurisu, Papyrus, Clover, Alisha and Rhys all have stars drawn in the bottom right corner of their pages. Vegeta, Hinata, Lithuania, Poland, Undyne, Youko, Dhaos and Morrigan are all dog eared.]

[ Astrid figures stars are people he likes, maybe? Who knows. She flips to her page and Roxy's page, mostly curious to see what he has down for them. :|a ]

[No, no plans on blowing people up. The blueprints don't even look like something that could blow someone up, just strange...gates, maybe? Those might be gates of some kind.

Astrid and Roxy's pages have general descriptions of them. Blonde, pale, eye colors; Astrid is listed as toned and "probably good at fighting." An addendum was added to it "definitely good at fighting, she has that kind of attitude." She'll also find on her page mentions of yaknog with lots of "what is it? i should have tried it probably." type comments about it, comments on how she can be a little more level headed than most humans here, and that he likes her. Also Stormfly is super cool. Roxy's profile talks about her being friendly, playful and teasing, that she has a sense of humor he can appreciate, and that she's probably a pretty free thinker. There are also some high praises for her clothing that she arrived in. Other than those specifics, there are notes about places (outside of the hotel) that they seem to hang around, people he's seen them speak with a lot, and things you could generally pick up from watching someone for weeks.]

No, who knows what they are. And Miata's doesn't have much more than theirs, really. There are some theories about who she's working for ("Daughter to an evil corporate empire looking to take over the world through murder." "Cinderella gone wrong and now her evil step sisters who murdered their mother for the fortune is using her to spread despair. Nah probably not." "Aliens maybe?" "Is actually evil and just pretending?" Another option is heavily crossed and scribbled out, but she might be able to make out an "x" if she looks hard enough), and she's described as charming, but that's about it. Nothing else sticks out any more than the other profiles, they all serve the same purpose.]
