week 4 - trial; day 2
![]() ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn, after which everyone is expected to have cast their votes. >Discuss? [He's just trying to visualize using a spear in two hands. He even kind of clasps his hands in front of him as if holding an invisible spear shaft, with his right hand above the left because that feels more natural to him, a right-handed nerd.]
no subject
But I was born right-handed, if that's what you're asking.

[ TBH...helpful commentary from Astrid ]

[SO INDIGNANT the rest of that makes sense though.]

Anyway, unless you think I used a knife, it doesn't really matter which hand I'm better with. [She summons her spear and slashes it horizontally in the air as an example.] The would would be similar in either case since I'd be using the tip of my spear. Unless you think I held the edge of it to her throat like I would a sword or a knife, but...[She flips her spear over in her hands, showing how long the shaft is.] It's definitely possible, but it'd also be really awkward to handle.

So thanks, that's good to know.

[Just resisting the urge to rest his head in his hands... why did he decide to start protagging again???]
One more thing. Why... is there spaghetti in your toilet?

[Nope, there goes his head. Right into his hands.]
Oh... yeah, that clears up everything.
And the dog locked in the safe?
no subject
[And now Undyne is looking just as exasperated as Hinata does.]
Don't ask. I've given up figuring how the hell that dog works.

[Let him rest here for a moment.]
Thanks for answering all the questions.

[he pops up to be completely unhelpful, as usual]

[wait no hang on he's getting derailed.]
And, uh... do you two usually sleep in Undyne's room?

[He has no problem not taking the credit for it, considering it DIDN'T WORK ANYWAY, THANKS CULPRIT.]
But... how heavily do you and your, uh, brother sleep? If she left the room, do you think either of you guys would know?
Or actually... didn't Papyrus say he doesn't sleep at all? Is it the same for you?
