week 4 - trial; day 1
![]() ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? setting rulebook |

He'll next move on to looking under the bare bed, still watching Gil as he does so.]

Cheshire, meanwhile, will just find Urashima's crazy original outfit. It doesn't make sense. )

And then he moves on to the closet, where he'll first check all of the clothing for rips, tears, stains, suspicious notes of confession from Kaoru, or very small horses.]

Urashima's closet is about as neat as his dresser was. Most of the coats and jackets hang neatly on the hangers though some are a little haphazard. There aren't any tears or stains on any of his clothes. He might find a couple of marbles from the school house in the pockets, though.
Folded neatly at the bottom of the closet is the extra bedding from the second bed. The blankets and sheets are neatly folded with the pillows on top. Cheshire knows why. )

He also leans down to check through the extra bedding for the sake of thoroughness, but he'll fold all of that back up neat and tidy, too. He moves on to check the safe when he's done.]

Who knew the sourpuss could laugh.]

Well, can't blame him for laughing, though. Lithuania also quarantined her sparkly clothes... He'll fuckin unfold and look through these clothes to be thorough but he'll regret it because he's dressed in black. THE THINGS HE DOES TO PROVE A PURE BEAN'S INNOCENCE!!
But with that finished (he's careful to unfold it as much in the safe as he can to keep glitter from falling onto the floor, and folds it back up when he's done), he'll move to the bathroom. What's up in here, gonna check the counter and cabinet and lift up the lid of the toilet. Hopefully there's no spaghetti???]

Cheshire's going to follow him in to check the shower and the linens.]

Like the rest of Urashima's room, the bathroom shows sign of use but, again, doesn't come off as anything out of the ordinary. The sink is a little wet from the last time it was used and there's a towel neatly thrown over the shower curtain's rod for it to dry out some since there's no room service on trial days. The shower is also a little wet from being used but has dried off some since the day began.
The clothes he wore the day and night before are on the floor. It's hard being an old fashioned sword from the future in this era. How does one do the laundry...... )

Neither can I. Nothing here seems out of sorts to me... Though it's a little strange that he's pulled the sheets off of his bed.
