seven vices week 3 31 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a small school building to the east of the clinic. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Sisuca, Kurisu, and Mikazuki have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Sisuca's hunting knives and Kurisu's....device are nowhere to be found. >Mingle? This is Week 3's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. [ He sighs.] Sorry. [ So they were both ghosts then, in a way. He's not sure whether that's a comfort or not.]

I had wondered why you never asked me any questions. [ That night when Dhaos had helped in his room, the man had that it was better than the alternative. He gets that now, at least a little.]

[dhaosu]

It is fine.

[ Well, at the very least it has turned calm, and that is just as well. ]

That said, perhaps I could start now, if this has changed matters.

[okuri]

You can ask.

But not here. [ He begins to walk towards his room: the matter of his wet gloves still needed to be dealt with besides, and this wasn't a thing he would discuss in public openly.]

[dhaosu]

Very well.

[ He nods his head, understanding of that at least, and moves just so towards the direction the other was going as well. ]

[okuri]

[ Yoite's silent the entire walk to his room, and takes some time once they enter to hang his outerwear (hat, gloves, and scarf)by the window so they can dry. When he's done he finally turns to Dhaos and meets his gaze.]

What were you going to ask?

[dhaosu]

[ Dhaos waits very patiently, and he does not even seem to mind should it take quite awhile. He has a lot of time while he is here, after all and he is not the type to rush people unless he has a time-sensitive reason for doing so. ]

The reason you do kira, even though it hurts you so. Why is it?

[okuri]

[For a moment he recalls the moment he told Miharu why he wanted him to use the shinrabanshou. The circumstances were different, but the answer is the same.]

Because I want to be erased. [The words are said plainly and truthfully, and if anything he looks peaceful.]

[dhaosu]

[ 'Because I don't want to live.'

And then:

'Because I want to be erased.'

Saying such things and such words calmly back then and now...Dhaos cannot understand it. Yet, nothing had seemed to change in his answer--only the wording. ]

...And why is that?

[okuri]

[ The wording was important, because it was distinctive. There was a difference between living, dying, and being erased.]

You wouldn't understand. [ He had never told anyone the answer to that wish, not even Miharu.]

[dhaosu]

Perhaps...I cannot know either way for sure.

[ It's true. Maybe he wouldn't understand.

In the beginning, when Dhaos met him, he didn't understand Yoite. Then again he didn't have the knowledge of the circumstances and he didn't wish to know at the time. But now there is something different, as he considers the younger boy's words. Perhaps someday he would like to know--however even that could be too much and something he would never pry forcefully into.

He does know that he will do his best and see where that leads them...as he knew he could not simply abide by doing nothing. ]

... That said, I did have one more question. When you said 'you were only good for one thing', what did you mean?

[ And if the other did not wish to answer it, that was fine with him as well. ]

[okuri]

[ He shakes his head, firm on the answer. There were things he had buried, things which he hoped would never see the light of day. It was easier, that way.]

Killing. [ That answer is much easier than the last. No one here knew who he was or what he did in service of the Grey Wolves, but he had long ago accepted the title of shinigami. Here though, no one knew, and no one had asked: until now.]

[dhaosu]

[ Humans are good at killing, and they often would hurt themselves or even their friends in the end, regardless of their own designs. Yet, even he knows that not every human is necessarily only good at killing--or having it as their only talent.

However, as for now, Dhaos is not able to structure this into words properly, so he decides perhaps actions rather than words may convince him ever so slightly to believe a bit differently. If not today, than surely someday down the road... ]

I see... so that is what may be believed. That said, I am more sure of it now than ever it was a good idea to converse with you, and I do hope that you can at the very least feel the same.

...And I do very much thank you for that 'lemonade' you had given me.

[okuri]

[ Based on what he knew of Dhaos so far, he hadn't expected an overly strong reaction from the other. Still, he hadn't quite expected such a soft reaction, and he's taken aback.]

I don't understand you...[ He really didn't, and he looks more bashful than anything else.]

You're welcome.

[dhaosu]

[ He almost smiles a bit at that. At least out of the times he is not understood, it seems for once not to be a bad thing. ]

... And if you have any questions, you can feel free to ask. But I believe on my part I do not have anymore for now.

[okuri]

[ He's silent for a while, as he thinks. Surely the easiest thing to ask would be about the occupation "Demon King", but Yoite isn't sure that matters much to him.]

Your skills, the emotional manipulation. What does that entail?

[dhaosu]

Generally, if the situation permits it, I can be perhaps skilled in garnering a certain reaction out of someone. That is not to say that this will always be applicable...should the individual be already certain of however they wish to go about things.

[ He crosses his arms. ]

There is nothing too special about it in particular, as you can infer.

[okuri]

[ Back home, he had met someone who could see into the hearts of others. It was a dangerous skill and one he absolutely loathed, so he's happy to hear that it doesn't sound similar at all.]

I see, thank you. [ He uses the opportunity to slip on a pair of gloves they had provided, all while looking wistfully at his original pair (which is still drying).]

I still don't understand you. But if you need help... let me know.

[dhaosu]

It is no problem.

[ A slight smile is there, however brief. And then, he figures, it may be time to take his leave. ]

... I shall let you know regarding that offer, and I do thank you for it. Fare thee well, Yoite.

[ With that, he makes his move to exit. ]

[okuri]

[ He nods.]
