week 9 - trial; day 2
![]() ♫ Saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? cast setting rulebook |

I'm sure Bill knows his days are very much numbered, even as we speak.
no subject
That's probably from earlier this week.

[ Explain. ]
I only met with you on Monday. Could you elucidate further?

[Bill lifts up his right arm and unwraps his hand, gently rotating it with a wince so it's palm side up. There's a pretty ugly cut on his hand, and it looks like it's on its way to recovering but not exactly healed either.]
Last week Dragonrider spent the night with me from Wednesday night until Thursday night. Thursday, she cut open my hand with her axe, because she hadn't done it earlier like she said she would! I keep reopening it on accident. Tuesday night I wanted to see if my arm was all better so I tried to climb a tree.
It wasn't better, and I managed to reopen it again.

[LEGIT...REASONS......this is why they're best friends...]

[ He crossed his arms. ]
Roxy also mentioned she was searching for a coat in her alibi, and the killer used a raincoat, which you still have in your room and she does not. Still, this would mean the only other prospect besides yourself would be her. Are you saying Roxy would have done this?

A regular coat, I was looking for a regular coat. Mine got used for experiments last week! I wanted to replace it with another cute pink one.

I actually definitely did slice his hand open.
[ Why the fuck does anyone have sleepovers with Astrid. ]

Does all blood smell the same or does it come in scented varieties?
no subject
[ He rubs the back of his head. ] In a way, yes. The blood of an animal and the blood of a beorc smell different enough, it's like night and day. But from beorc to beorc...
I don't think I'd call it scented or say it's all that different. Then again, it's not a smell I give much attention.

... Why would his coat smell like lemon and herbs?
[ asking the important question ]

[ does soap smell like that? ]

[????]
But... there's no way Bill would attack Faize, they're friends...
no subject
[ Implying he could normally tell...!! ]
All I can say is that blood touched this coat at some point.
no subject
I don't know, I just... I can't help but think if Bill were going to try to lure a victim, he wouldn't go for Faize. He'd definitely go for someone like me.
[Someone he doesn't respect, at all.]

[ sidenote ]
I don't think he'd go after Faize or be so brutal with Urashima, either. That doesn't sound like Bill. Sure he's nuts, but he's a good guy.
no subject
He's crazy about hurting himself, not other people, you're right.

[Poland's not sure who could be though-- this is never a good sign.]

Someone probably died just for making that coat.
[It might be an eyesore. A little.]
