seven vices week 4 28 players remaining ♫ monday - thursday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After hearing the motive, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a police station to the far east of the chapel. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Youko, Zelos, and Morrigan have been hung up. Anyone looking for them will find that Youko's pink shoes and the fragments of Zelos's crystal are now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 4's mingle log, covering Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. For Miata, Monday:

[He's never sought her out before but ever since last week, he's had a certain ghost on his mind. When he finally spots Miata he walks up to her, determined.]

I met someone last week, her name was Edita. Can you tell me anything about her?


Police Station, Tuesday:

[ Yoite can be found exploring the police station, in particular the second story. He's looking at the guns on the display rack with interest, almost willfully. It had been a while since he's seen one, and it reminds him of a certain someone.]

[ He finds her just about to walk into the manager's office. She puts her key back in her pocket and studies him for a second. ]

What do you mean, "met someone"?

A teacher in the school house. Her name was Edita. [ And he kind of wants to know more about her, besides the fact that she just poofed out of existence.]

[vicedirector]

[ Miata fixes him with an expression that's sort of hard to read. ]

Edita was the schoolteacher here for a few years. She taught my sister.

[ He's silent for a few moments, having figured as much, but not wanting to really say it.]

There are more like her here, aren't there?

[vicedirector]

Someone mentioned they saw my sister walking around here when I know for a fact she's dead.

[ answering his question with a seemingly unrelated statement, but. ]

[okuri]

...you don't know anything about why it's happening? [ That wasn't what he had expected.]

[vicedirector]

I've got an idea or two. But nothing concrete.

[okuri]

She mentioned something about her students being gone.

[vicedirector]

Not surprising. But unrelated.

[okuri]

[ Hm...] Thank you for the information.

Is there anyone I should be looking out?

[vicedirector]

For what? Phantom patrol?

[okuri]

Anyone who could explain why they're still here. [ In a vague sense, he assumes the ghosts have a hierarchy of some sort.]

I dunno. The mayor?

[okuri]

[At least he knows the name of the Mayor.] Thank you.

[Also exploring the police station. Vegeta starts on the second floor, around the jail cell, but he eventually moves upstairs when he hears Yoite moving around up there.]

You know how to use those?

[okuri]

Hello. [He shakes his head.]

I don't, but it can't be hard. Someone I know is fond of them.

There's more variety than you think.

[Though Vegeta's more used to being shot at than shooting anything. He walks over to the gun rack and examines it for himself.]

... These all look fairly primitive.

[okuri]

Does that matter when it comes to their effectiveness? [ He's really only used to seeing revolvers.]

[keepshispride]

It does when your skin is bulletproof. [... Don't test that here. He's just assuming he's still bulletproof.]

[okuri]

You aren't affected by weapons? [ He's a bit surprised, but from what he knows of Vegeta he knows that he's formidable.]

[keepshispride]

Not by ones like these. [Laser guns, maybe, but even then only if he drops his guard and they're particularly powerful. He picks up one of the guns at random at turns it around in his hands, completely disregarding normal gun safety.] These are just the ones that fire metal, right? I've seen them before.

[Bulma's probably shot him once or twice for fun.]

[okuri]

[A nod.] I've never seen a gun that shoots anything else. [ Likewise he also picks up a gun from the rack, not really knowing how to handle it either.]

There's no bullets in them.
