Either way, the atmosphere of the town begins changing ever so subtly. Once in a while, you can feel someone staring at you from behind, though when you turn to check, no one will be there. Footsteps can also be heard echoing when one stands close to the void, even when alone....of course, no one will be there, either. As of Tuesday, extra food will be found in the kitchen. The ingredients are very based in Western cuisine: rye and wheat bread, potatoes, cabbage, beets, onions, cucumbers, assorted mushrooms, and the like are all supplied. In addition, there are also miscellaneous spices, eggs, milk, and an abundance of fish and pork. Various dishes made with the above ingredients will also be set out for anyone to take during lunch and dinner. A copy of the rulebook has been pinned to the front of the chapel, and a wooden sign now stands at the east edge of town near the clinic: Welcome to Lebensbaum | EST. 1623 | Population: ♜♜♜♜♜♜♜. Of course not, but I'd think people would want to work together to avoid looking suspicious. As far as I can tell... there's no punishment time for picking the wrong person in trial. People who keep secrets are going to be turned on... that's all I can think. I don't want that to happen, but...

By "not too much time" do you mean, weeks instead of years? Or is it still like, if someone had that much "mana power" and knew that spell, he or she would be gone by now.

You don't mind all the questions, do you, Dhaos? Maybe it's pointless if magic is different from person to person, but. Going on with no idea at all what to expect seems even more unreasonable.

No, I do not mind them.

...Usually if it just one person, it can be instantaneous. The one in charge of casting the spell would require to know the spell and have the sufficient amount of mana.

In the case where it is more than one person, there is a great deal more mana required, as well as more than one person needed to assist in the spell. The greater the distance also means there is more mana or energy required.

However, it appears those within our group may have the potential for the usage of great amount of energy, enough so it could feasibly take few weeks complete, rather than a year.

[ Some of these profiles he's noticed have abilities that would require a great amount of energy to have, after all. Then again, it's a little complicated, and, well. ]

Unfortunately, there are limitations here as well, as those who contain abilities to a great extent seem to have theirs set to a lower capacity than they are usually. In one instance, it could take possibly the effort of more than one person to make a simple teleportation spell work. Therefore, I am not sure how that would effect our efforts exactly, until we begin to make that attempt. There is also to account for whatever kind of action may be taken to prevent a spell of this kind from being successfully cast.

[ Despite how he holds himself, Yoite is surprisingly agile for his physical constitution. He manages to dodge the snowball barely, and it hits the wall next to him with a resounding thud.

He turns around, his right arm extended, pointing at the assailant. When he realizes it's the girl he talked to earlier about the talisman, he drops his hand an inch.]

...I didn't think about that limitation part. It makes sense, though, I mean it'd be really surprising if Roxy can always only fly for a minute at a time. [Like if he faced death to become a god and his powers were "sixty seconds of sixty-feet high flight" (not that he knows this is exactly what happened to her), he would want his freaking money back. "I came back to life and all I got were these stupid pajamas".]

We're probably looking at a really long distance, even if some of us are in the same world. Since some of us just come from places where it wouldn't ever snow this much at all. [Which is itself looking increasingly unlikely.] Maybe the reason we haven't heard people talk about casting these spells more is like, they can only take a couple other people, not everybody, and they know it wouldn't be fair? Or they don't want to use all their "mana" because they'll need it later...

[At least the possibility of escape exists, and he'll cling to it with white-knuckled hands if he has to. Takao doesn't like being useless, but he's certainly accustomed to supporting the people who are actually important - why else would an arrow go counterclockwise around his neck?]

[ Break shakes his head. ]

If Miss Miata is trying to end the world, then it could perhaps be related~. But they would have needed to bring Oz to help with that, so I don't think they're related, at the very least.

[Takao can tell that the productive part of this conversation is drawing to a close and he begins to eat more quickly again - not quite as neatly as Vegeta, his lips are always clear but there are sometimes small unswallowed chunks in the back of his mouth.]

Like this food has definitely still been here this whole time. Plus some other vegetables and stuff that probably came straight out of a farm or whatever.

And that appears to be all, regarding what was described in the rulebook for now. However, I do wish to reiterate that as it has mentioned before, more rules may be added at any time, whilst notifying us of the change.

[ Such things are reminding him of those from Derris-Kharlan and a stark reminder that none of the Generals from Aselia were like her. Indeed, the man hadn't intended on getting to actually speak too much with these humans, and yet here he was. He still can't forget the words she said in the chapel, many days earlier. ]

...Regardless, there is no reason not to at least lend my assistance from time to time and within reason. If you are not adverse against myself doing so.

[ Besides, he does think it could serve as a good deterrent against senseless murder, in either event. ]

Takao is not surprised when Yoite does not sit down next to him. Would he appreciate it? Yeah, especially because in the amount of time it's taken for Yoite to actually pick up a plate, the number of people sitting beside Takao himself has accordingly decreased. He definitely didn't expect it, though, and this outcome is okay with him. He has his hawk eye. He can see Yoite's face just fine.

What's not fine with Takao is that he sees no change in this face. Now, Takao is perfectly happy that Yoite is enjoying his food well enough. However, this seems to be about the same reaction as Yoite has when he's simply picked out something compatible with his preferences. There's no discrete eureka moment. How has Takao's plan gone wrong here? Did he pick the wrong spice and loop back around to using the right one? No, he's pretty sure he saw right. Maybe Yoite just started from a different part and hasn't tasted the sugared part yet. Yeah, with stuff in the way Takao can't actually see the dish itself that well. So in a maneuver that he's using for the first time (though probably not the last), Takao gets up for a second helping of this kugelis stuff and sits back down at the same table as Yoite, though the opposite corner.

"Yo."

Yoite looks up at Takao for a second as he sits down, a blank expression on his face. He would much prefer to be alone, but he decides to stay, his own way of saying "thanks" for the whole napkin incident the day before. After a moment (in which he gulps down another spoonful of fish), he finally responds.

"Good Afternoon."

Still, he wasn't the best at conversations.
