week 8 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 8 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. Attempting to wander off into the other areas of the hotel will trigger the static alarms in everyone's heads/televisions. >Discuss? victim   suspects      cast setting rulebook

[Hinata can be found sitting in the kitchen with a warm cup of tea between his hands! He needs either that or a stiff drink after the Experience that was Sans' room. He's just kind of staring into space when Undyne comes up to him, blinking up at her and setting the tea aside to take the offered envelope without quite hearing what it was.

Then he pauses, fingers curling tightly around it as he stares at the envelope and slowly draws it to him. He doesn't open it immediately, just holding the envelope for now and noting that it's sealed.]

...You didn't open it...?

[Probably because she doesn't want Lithuania to make THE FACE.]

Nmmope. [Poland swallows.]

[Swallowing again this time before speaking.]

Yeah. [It's gonna take a long while before they get to seven if they keep going like this.]

You have to watch out for rouge orange juice though. [Here she'll squish in so Yoite's limbs don't have any risk of hanging out.]

No. I do not truly need to eat.

[ It's hard to get him to eat anything here as a result and he leans against the counter. ]

... That said, how are you faring? You can answer in between eating, of course.

That must be nice... [Prior to being hungry on a friday leading to her being a suspect, Poland would think that Dhaos not eating was TERRIBLE. There's a whole world of foods he's missing out on??

Right now though, Poland actually feels embarrassed about something. And of all things it's eating. Thanks Lettland.]

[ He thinks about this a little. It could be due to the trial...so, stress-eating? ]

Are you concerned with something regarding this trial, then? Is that why you're eating?

[it's a self-sustaining trash tornado, faize. do you really want to step so close to it.

there is literally nothing of interest in the trash tornado. outside the fact that it's a trash tornado in the first place. it goes on and on. like magic. or maybe it's like one of those tornado in a bottle experiments, except the bottle is just "sans's living space is disgusting, oh my god". do you really wanna find out??]

[ He appreciates that and scoots in properly, so he's completely under the table. It's a bit cramped, and he's only been this close to one other person, but he actually doesn't mind the small space in this situation.]

What type of orange juice? [ Looking just a bit alarmed.]

[Casually volunteering his nerd elf buddy for the trash tornado. He's fully expecting something comical like the entire tornado collapsing on Faize.]

It's going to be a busy day. [ He nods and stands up, grabbing another piece of food real quick for later.]

[But yes, he does actually want to get closer because Faize is a curious bean and also he apparently hates himself. Never forget evisceration quest 2k16.]

[He just stares at the tornado for a bit, boggling over how such a phenomenon is even possible, before making a quick grab at one of the papers. Is it even possible to take anything out of it, APPARENTLY HE'S GOTTA KNOW.]

[oh, alien elf. if only someone in this room loved you enough to save you from tornadoes.

it is entirely possible to grab the papers in the tornado! it also causes the entire thing to collapse sadly on itself, covering everything in a 2x2 feet square of socks and sad papers. and spaghetti. either whatever faize grabbed was being used to conduct the whole thing or the tornado had an extremely delicate balance and taking anything out would've done this. you'll never know because the tornado is dead. rip.

For a moment he puts aside the issue of that donut tray. If Poland truly wishes to trade it off, he could always suggest Yoite. He seems to like sweets. ]

...If it hurts not to eat, then you should not risk eating nothing. Why do you not wish to eat anymore?

[ He nods his head and begins to slowly move out of the kitchen. ]
