seven vices case 8 - investigation ♫ friday On Friday morning, nothing happens. It's 10AM, and there are no blackouts or explosions. There's no blood, no objects out of place, no missing guests. Nada. Zip. Zilch. The monitor in the lobby is silent, and Katerina doesn't seem to have anything to say on the matter. On the most desperate of weeks...could someone have actually not taken the initiative? >Mingle? cast setting

[Whoops comes down here. Ugh Clover... were you holding glitter. Did you die as you lived, coated in glitter??

What color is the glitter.]

[ Let's say pink. Because Clover. ]

[Adds pink glitter as an evidence bullet-! Probably Clover's glitter, since pink, as compared to someone just throwing glitter at her corpse for some kind of fucked up corpse party. You never know.

What else is there to be seen? Besides the glitter. Someone pour a jar of glitter out for her later.]

[ More suspicious stuff hooray.

There's a messed up patch of snow a little closer to Clover's body. Beyond that, there's a cluster of half-distorted footprints next to and underneath where her body was found. ]

[Ugh he's... trusting Faize to take care of Clover's body, so he'll keep his eyes focused on the snow. And noting that patch of snow, too, looking down to try to get its exact shape.

As for the footprints, do they look like they were caused by a heeled boot, a la Clover, or someone else's shoes?]

[ It's hard to get an exact shape, it's just a big ol' pile of fucked up snow. Someone shuffled here, or rolled around, or something was dropped and moved...it could be just about anything.

The footprints, on the other hand are so distorted and incomplete it's hard to tell what sort of shoe caused them. But they're on the small-ish side. ]

[Smallish shoe prints... All he's really got on him is one of the hotel notepads, but he's going to kneel in the snow to try to trace the footprint as best he can. It's much easier to focus on gathering evidence than trying to come to terms with Clover's body... later, he'll cry. For now, he's got to be the good murdergame protag.

Speaking of being the good protag, once he's traced as far a representation of the shoeprint as he can, he's going to push himself to his feet, looking around for anything else in the area that's not covered by Clover's body.]

( What's this? There's something floating in the lake. It looks like trash. )

[Oh no... What's in the lake? It'll take him a moment beyond the footprints, but once he notices the lake... How far out is it? Easy to get to via carefully slipping across the ice? If so, he'll very, very carefully start making his way toward the potential trash. What've we got?]

( It's pretty close to the shore. ALSO THE LAKE IS FROZEN. I'm gr8 guys. He'll be able to reach it easily if he isn't afraid of getting his shoes a little muddy and wet on the shore.

It's close enough that he can see what it is without needing to get it. It's medical tubing. )

[Well that sure seems like it's very far away from the clinic, where it should rightfully be. At least he has enough sense to tug his sweater down to cover his fingers before grabbing the hose. This... is weird. Good to have found....? He doesn't know what to make of it just yet.

His poor sneakers, RIP... he's going to run them through the wash later.

Anything else he should note about the boathouse and/or snow and/or glitter? What else can he distract himself with other than the fact that Clover is deda.]
