seven vices week 6

24 players remaining

monday - sunday

Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice.

"Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour."

That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present.

After that...announcement, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a record store next to the clothing store. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Cheshire and Lucyhave been hung up.

Anyone looking for it will find that Lucy's machete is now gone.

unpleasantries: (Flying away with comforting song)

Orin is my pet. Her full name is Rin Kaenbyou, but I call her Orin. She's a cat youkai called a kasha. I gave her a home, and when she was able to work, a job. She's only one of many pets, but...it's difficult not to consider her one of my favorites. I miss her dearly. She's very sociable, and even the vengeful spirits and corpses she carts enjoy talking to her. She even managed to befriend some fairies and convinced them to dress up as zombies...

[Satori is almost smiling. Talking about her pets is one of the few things she enjoys.]

I see... I am sure she is very grateful for your benevolence.

[ Taking in and giving someone a home is nothing to scoff at. Although, at 'befriending fairies and convincing them to dress up as zombies', Dhaos doesn't know how to react at that. ]

Although is making corpses speak an special ability of hers? Usually when the spirit leaves the body, the dead body does not speak back.
unpleasantries: (She muttered: no problem)

Yes, that's unique to Orin. She likes to hear about their lives, and is particularly obsessed with finding strong or interesting people to bring in.

[That's why she wants to make sure that if she dies, Orin gets her corpse.]

Though I'm good with otherwise wordless spirits and animals, I can't make a dead body speak.
dhaosu: (> attempting to socialize)

I see.

[ That sounds like quite an interesting ability... ]

I have never heard of such a thing, truly. Although, you can communicate with animals and spirits? How so?
unpleasantries: (I'll roll again today)

[personal profile] unpleasantries 2016-04-01 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
I guess it's more that they can communicate with me. A lot of animals can't speak, right? But they can think. It's the same with several kinds of spirits...and I'm a mind-reader.

[She glances at her third eye, which looks back up at her.]

My eye's been useless since I got here, but at home it had its uses. I befriended a lot of animals, because I understood exactly what they wanted. Those that chose to stay with me often ended up becoming youkai, whether through long life or simply proximity to me. And by putting myself in charge of the Palace of Earth Spirits, I ensured there would never be a revolt - if they so much as thought of planning one, I could punish them before they acted.

[ Well...this is all certainly interesting. He's glad he asked--it does make him understand Satori a little more. ]

You sound like quite the responsible ruler. Plus, with an ability like that you could always ensure there was peace. Or, well, most of the time, I presume.
