seven vices week 6 24 players remaining ♫ monday - sunday Monday morning begins just like the rest, slow and uneasy. At 12pm, every television will go off with its usual bout of static, followed by a calm, albeit disinterested, voice. "Please gather in the hotel lobby within the next hour." That's all that it says before the televisions turn off. Anyone not in their rooms will hear the voice echoing around them as if through a speaker system, although there are (still) no speakers present. After that...announcement, characters who choose to explore will find that the void around the town has retracted a bit, and there is now a record store next to the clothing store. On the chapel wall near the altar, black and white portraits of Cheshire and Lucyhave been hung up. Anyone looking for it will find that Lucy's machete is now gone. >Mingle? This is Week 6's mingle log, covering Monday to Sunday. As this is a breather week, there will be no investigation or trial. When posting toplevels, specify the time and location. [ Okay, good?? As long as he's able to have somewhat salvaged this he is fine with this subject. He breathes a soft sigh of relief--this week has barely started and it's already a mess... ]

Who is 'Marta'?

[sobowtor]

You know! [Crunching away on those mints.]

I do not believe I met her myself.

[ Wait. He remembered someone's words from two weeks ago... ]

Is she Miata's sister? Or does she just look like her?

[sobowtor]

She calls her 'Mimi' so she must be her sister.

She literally looks just like her though. Just smaller. Chubbier cheeks. Little tiny hands!

[Kyaaaaaah~ Poland smushes her own cheeks with her hands.]

[ He blinks at that. ]

She must be quite filled with energy, I imagine. How often do you see her?

Just the once so far. Faize met her twice.

[Poland frowns a little though.]

She seemed kinda muted in personality from Faize's first interaction with her.

[Probably not a good thing.]

[dhaosu]

[ He frowns. It's not like he's concerned or anything, but. But...okay maybe a little. ]

...Did she say or hint as to why she was not in good spirits?

[sobowtor]

Maybe because a big bad demon king with luscious locks was picking on her big sister?

[That's probably not the reason.]

[dhaosu]

I--

[ Dhaos falls silent. It seems plausible enough to him. He still didn't like Miata or trust her, but he knew that neither of those involved in his discussion were in a good place.

He remembers what he was thinking at the time, of that poor young girl's execution, and certainly of his people. It was fine last time the she called him a 'king' because there wasn't anything before it.

Demon King... Demon King.

Dhaos remembers when Reisen accused him of being such a thing and then so much suffering. Does Poland think of him one now? Do they all think of him as just a Demon King after that? If only he had walked away sooner. If only he hadn't taken Winona with him. If only-- He can't think rationally, and decides that he should just try to make a quick exit. ]

[sobowtor]

.... [Wait. Where are you going?]

Hey!

[dhaosu]

[ He stops, a bit after Poland shouts. ]

... What is it?

[ It's unfortunate how quiet his voice sounds, but he can't keep it straight otherwise. ]

[sobowtor]

Hey-- hey! [Poland's grabbing onto his capes. You can't escape now.]

I was just kidding!

[dhaosu]

[ Why didn't he put on one of those outfits. Oh right because they were given to them by their kidnappers. Now that she's clarified that, he can breathe a bit easier, even if it still hurt a bit. ]

...Nngh. I see...

[ His shoulders sag a little as he sighs softly. ]

Poland, I have a request.

[sobowtor]

What's that?

[dhaosu]

[ He shifts a bit. ]

... If you could, do not refer to myself as a 'demon' if you are going to use my title in the future.

[sobowtor]

You don't like it?

[dhaosu]

No. My true occupation is not a "Demon" King. A more closer title would be simply "King".

[ Technically he is a Demon King thanks to humans and Reisen, so it's complicated. It wasn't his original title though, and he loathes it. He does not think he wants someone he is at least amicable with to call him that, however. ]

Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to alter what has been written. It does not give a reminder of good days, putting it lightly.

Oh okay. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or anything, I really was just being facetious.

[Of course a King who is so tall and aloof and handsome and so tall as Dhaos would have a dramatically sad past.]

Well. I can't alter the memories but.

[Poland pulls out her rule book and flips to Dhaos' page. She scratches out the 'Demon' part.]

History is written by the victors. [And Katarina will never be a victor if Poland has anything to say about it.]

[dhaosu]

Ah...I understand.

[ There's a small pause and when she crosses out the 'demon' portion he can't help but crack a small smile. He hadn't thought saying anything would help, but it looks like it did. He will commit it to memory. ]

Thank you for the compliment, then --and this. I know we cannot afford to lose to her and her compatriots.

[sobowtor]

[You gotta talk about your feelings!]

Yeah!

But like. Maybe cut Miata. Like. A little slack. [Poland uses her fingers to illustrate the little bit.] Little bit. For me.

[Dhaos has one of those serious faces that doesn't need a lot of contempt to be super intimidating to pretty much anyone.]

[ Dhaos is unused to talking about his feelings... how do you do it. ]

Very well. A little-- [ He just copies the motion Poland did and feels a bit silly for it. But he just thinks it's also a good way to indicate he's serious???
