week 4 - trial; day 2

seven vices case 4 trial, day 2 ♫ sunday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn, after which everyone is expected to have cast their votes. >Discuss? victim   suspects      VOTING cast setting VOTING TENTATIVELY CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT CST.

I want to go home! That's what I want to do! And I can't go home if I change the past! I'd get taken away and scrapped or something awful and I'd never see my brothers or anyone again!

( He knows its just his word but still. )

No... I slept the whole night. I was really tired.

[crazily]

[ Thoughtfully: ] ...What about you, in that case? If you were that tired, you were likely sleeping very deeply, yes?

[minogame]

( Nodding, )

Mhm. I was still tired the next day too.

( And even if Urashima doesn't have a set routine like some people, he's normally pretty awake by mid-morning. )

Then perhaps what Undyne said may have some merit. Save for myself, all of the suspects have someone that claims to be with them. So for the sake of this line of thinking, assuming I'm innocent, that means someone is either lying or wasn't aware that the person left.

[ He nods ]

So... Considering your exhaustion, I believe that you may not have awoken if Vegeta were to leave. You don't even remember what time you went to sleep.

I dunno... it would still be risky to leave, wouldn't it? I could have woken up or something and he would have been in big trouble.

But yeah... I didn't even remember going to sleep...

[crazily]

You could have, yes. But you didn't, so that's not relevant, is it?

[ He nods, since Break at least seems relatively assured of this now. ]

I think it may have been intentional to push you so hard, to be honest.

He's been pushing me for weeks.

( WEEKS OF BEING BULLIED. )

But for apparently three and a half hours on a Thursday night? Was that a regular occurrence?

Well... it was the first time I'd trained with him and I wasn't really planning on it...

( Ah, but he sees where this is going. )

[crazily]

[ He laughs, but it's a short, tired laugh. ]

( You know, as a sword, it normally feels nice to be of use to someone but this isn't one of those times. )

Tired from training, I'm guessing? Was that your idea to train with him?

( Shaking his head no, )

I was just going to keep him company... but he said I was being annoying so kicked me out of bed and made me train with him.
