[ Her hands tighten around the hem of her jacket. ]

Why ever should I do that?

[ Katerina's voice is baffled, but also challenging. Why does Miata get to decide this? ]

...because, you were there when we found her.

[ Miata grits her teeth, her voice growing in octaves as she continues speaking. ]

You were there! You saw her hand poking out from underneath all that rubble! You saw the fucking bullet holes in her jacket! You told me there was nothing you could do! If you can't fucking give decency to those sisters then give it to me, dammit!

[ Katerina falls silent. ]

You know it wasn't your fault.

[ And instead of announcing Satori's guilt, something else happens. ]

[And Lithuania suddenly forgets everything else even going on because Miata. Belarus could die right behind her and she wouldn't bat an eyelash, because oh no, poor Miata, and if something happened here that caused a little girl to be shot and buried in rubble, even if it's this is a parallel world, Lettland and not Lithuania--it feels like she's responsible.]

[ She doesn't say anything at all, quivering with rage and...maybe a little bit of grief, if one looks closely.

Her eyes are focused on the fire. ]

[Lithuania will stay close by the entire time. There's so little she can do to help or protect Miata here, but she can at least offer what support she can.]

[UH... Things are getting intense? Lithuania is still hanging onto Poland, but she is giving Miata a look like "is there literally anything you can do here or do we just have to cross our fingers and hope for the best?"]

[ Miata has, luckily, snapped out of it by now, and she looks a little nervous. She shoots Lithuania a surprised look, and just motions for her to back up. It looks like Undyne is moving away from them all but. Wrathmom. ]

[Lithuania nods and backs up, taking Poland along with her.] I can't say I expected something like this. ...Does Undyne have a chance? [She seems really tough, but. Satan.]

With all of her powers back? I...don't know. Maybe.

[herbgrace]

[And then there was a lava tidal wave. Lithuania looks more horrified than she's ever looked. She acts immediately--she scoops Miata up into a one-handed princess carry, then grabs Poland to half throw her over her shoulder and support Miata with the other arm. Then she runs.]

[ NOT SAYING ANYTHING. NOT FIGHTING AT ALL. SHE KNOWS WHERE SHE'S BEAT. Miata quietly endures the ride, take her to safety Mom...... ]

Waugh--!! [Prussia's chick has perched it's self on Poland's head, snapping Poland out of her momentary stupor.

Welp. She's the sack of potatoes to Miata's princess but-- Poland gets to watch at least.]

I'm going as fast as I can! [But Lithuania will at least try to go faster.]
