week 1 - trial; day 1

seven vices case 1 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. And I presume flight, a high jump, or a climb as to how they reached the roof.

Do you think he was standing below and the killer could have jumped or flown down from the roof to surprise him? Or maybe they dropped something onto his head. [Since if he was the one responsible for the footprints, he might not have been dropped from the roof, unless he was also lifted off the ground from that point.]

It's possible that it could have began there. Takao was lead to that point or went there for whatever reason, and met up with the killer who was waiting upon the rooftop for him. Then the killer could have floated down silently and knocked him out with an object of some kind.

If they did drop something on his head, hopefully that object could be found, but...

I don't know if he could have been led there. He couldn't fly or anything, right?

Some of the footprints are only half-made, right? They could have been lifting him up to drop him.

Wasn't there something plastic that got burnt? It could have been that. If it was heavy enough, they wouldn't even have to float down or anything, they could have just dropped it while he was walking underneath them.

They could have been separately burnt or something! Maybe the killer just burned all the other stuff to make it more confusing and throw us off our tracks! [GOD THIS IS WHY SHE HATES PUZZLES...]

We should search the suspects, see if they are carrying anything.

Not in here in front of everyone. [Lithuania won't allow that.] They should be separated by gender and taken elsewhere by a group of non-suspects of the same gender as them.
