week 5 - day 1 trial

seven vices case 5 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. If there is a clue, I doubt it's over here... [ she'll make a silent apology to Lucy and then check her notebook, to see if there's anything vaguely helpful about this whole mess written down-- which she also doubts, but gotta check!

... After a whole lot of bed area searching, she's gonna be thorough here. ]

Well...she really likes pink. But nothing silky! And there's a whole bunch of papers here for some reason? [She'll flip through them really quickly to see if there's anything incriminating written there like I KILLED CHESHIRE AND EXPLODED MYSELF, but she won't read them thoroughly if they seem to be something private. Undyne might be rude in some (many) areas, but she respects privacy especially when it comes to a huge stack of love letters!!]

[The notebook is completely empty! Literally. It's clear that Lucy has been tearing multiple pages out of it from the fact that it's dangerously thin. There's no actual writing here.

...And Undyne has instantly found where the missing paper has gone! Good call on her part because every single piece of paper is headed with 'My dearest Steven' and signed as 'With love, Lucy'. There is a page for every single day they have been stuck here. Someone sure IS diligent, huh? The content of the letters reads more like diary entries than anything else but there is absolutely no mention of death, murder, or trials. The weekends are just suspiciously sparse. Other than that there's a lot of insisting he do well by himself and worry over his health. Yup.]

That would explain all the pages missing from her notebook...

[ PLEASE DON'T READ THEM IF THEY'RE LOVE LETTERS THOUGH???? That's personal! (Alisha, you're in someone's room going through her belongings, calm down.)

None of this seems out-of-place, though, so she'll give the bathroom a look next. Hopefully no one's messed with it a la vents and screws, even if she doesn't know about that yet. ]

[Whoops yeah, she puts them down instantly when she sees that they're love letters, looking pretty embarrassed and a little guilty. Undyne writes love letters too SHE KNOWS THIS FEEL.] Ah, it's nothing important though! Anyway, it seems pretty private and I seriously doubt Lucy would write anything incriminating down.

[Okay, she'll move on to searching the dresser then! And also casually lift it up with one hand to check underneath it too.]

The bathroom door is also already open! It's completely clean of any suspicious screws or likewise. The sink and tub are bone dry because no one has been here and there are two toothbrushes next to the sink. Sleepovers probably extra confirmed.

The dresser is in a similar situation as the closet: so much fucking pink. How can one girl stand this much pink in her life? We just don't know. There is a collection of nightgowns, underwear, legwarmers, detached sleeves... Anything your strange Jojo Fashion Sense(tm) would ever hope to possess.]

Alisha will do another thorough search here, confirming two toothbrushes before she steps out of the bathroom again. ]

And no pink scarves? I couldn't find anything incriminating on my end.

[ GOOD. Also good choice of color, Lucy. ]

[Look, Undyne also loves pink, but this is getting a little excessive. At least add some pretty blues in there to balance it all out Lucy!!]

Nothing that matches the one we found. [She'll do a real fast sweep of the TV and underneath it just to be thorough.] It doesn't look like there's anything suspicious here! Not that I'm that surprised.

[There are scarves in the room but they are definitely wool and there is nothing like the silk one! Also she has some creams and yellows, okay? She knows how to accent color at least. A little. She's still a tad one note.

The TV is completely untouched because it's a Devil Box but everywhere else will turn up a respectable coating of dust. Not even Lucy can be that thorough in her cleaning.]

Sounds good! That was a pretty easy room search. [can they drop by Vegeta's now so she can destroy it to make up for how unbroken this one was]
