week 5 - day 1 trial

seven vices case 5 trial, day 1 ♫ saturday At 9AM, every television will go off, loud enough to wake anyone sleeping. The calm, apathetic voice will advise everyone to gather in the chapel for the trial. Static will continue to blare in the head of anyone dillydallying. Once all of the guests have gathered in the chapel, the doors will lock. Most of the pews have been moved aside to allow for more space, and a few tables have been set up on the altar. On the first, there is an additional copy of the rulebook, and the information cards of the victim and suspects laid out, with space for the suspects to provide their whereabouts, as well as an autopsy report. There is also a large wheeled chalkboard upon which you may write theories. On the second table is a pitcher of water and some glasses, as well as very simple sandwiches and pastries. The door behind the altar has finally been unlocked. It's a rather plain room with an area set off by a folding screen. Inside, you will find a table on which the victim's body has been laid out. Next to the table, two black and white photographs have been hung on the screen. they are close ups of the victim's body, as it was found when the body discovery announcement chimed. A few sticks of incense burn in the corner to avoid any smells. At 6PM, the trial will adjourn. Everyone will be escorted back to the hotel by Miata, after which everyone is allowed to head to either the kitchen to get dinner, or to their rooms. I'm not picking on Lithuania, yeah. I'm saying Inaba is pretty unpleasant [ like astrid herself is sometimes, and she doesn't mind getting called on it ] and I didn't realize she was that close with two of our nicer members when she's always so weird about sharing anything with anyone. Case in point: her being rude to Sadie about the name thing.

[ ASTRID COULD BE LESS BLUNT THAN BASICALLY CALLING INABA A BITCH but she kinda hasn't forgiven Inaba for lying on day 1 about her name and never apologizing. Also, she's blunt. ]

Lithuania meeting up with them in the halls and escorting them is less weird than Inaba suddenly being best friends forever with people who are actually nice.

She's just like Nanami Kiryuu is all. You know. Giving insults and advice in the same breath but still your friend!

She's always weird about sharing things, I don't see why suddenly she's not. Hel, she didn't even tell anyone her actual name when we got here, and now she's sharing her heartfelt worries with people she doesn't seem to spend too much extra time with?

She had a whole character growth arc where she was gonna be a better person or something and became better friends with everyone right before Vegeta confessed he watches us all in the bathroom.

Ah... we've been friends ever since she was kind enough to inform me about televisions. Although it's only been more recently that she's been willing to confide in me more.

A person who, at first, acts cold and hostile before they show their genuinely sweet side. It's a very common anime trope.

Don't say something embarrassing like that...! I don't even do the whole "i-it's not as if I like you or anything" line that's common for one!

Who doesn't like to share. But suddenly has an alibi where she's doing just that.

While it's true that I don't like to share, it doesn't mean I won't do it if it's an absolute necessity. I have my reasons behind not wanting to go by my real name in the beginning or going by my first name.

Besides, if I want to get out of here alive, I sure as hell have to change who I am as a person and at least try to open up. [ "Try" being the key word here. ]

I don't care if you're trying to change who you are. I'm saying it's suspicious you're suddenly trying to do it in the middle of the night with people you haven't spent your days with, usually.

Unless you're spending your nights with them, I'm not sure when you got close enough to change who you are with them. Something you have apparently been attempting for...one week.

I'm... not going to lie. I was with Roxy last week, but because the two people per room thing backfired due to what Vegeta did, I wanted a third person to make absolutely certain that things were solid.

Besides, the whole thing about 'me wanting to change', that didn't just come out of nowhere this week. It's something that I've been thinking about for a while. I just decided to tell everyone at the sleepover, that's all.

I don't buy it. You, Alisha, Roxy, and Lithuania. Something's going on.

Well, yeah, but I mean. She was roomfriends with me last week, so I don't think it's that weird she's bros with me and Alisha, is it?

I find it weird she asked you to be her roomfriend at all, honestly.

I guess this isn't super relevant, I'm just pointing out this is really weird.
