Rising tensions with Lorelea escalated even further this week, as local schoolteacher Edita Sabone was captured as a prisoner of war. During a routine border sweep by the Lettland ground corps, Sabone was witnessed attempting to defend a small family looking to seek asylum within Lebensbaum. With the border even more heavily guarded, they were caught and brought back to Uscington. Sabone resisted, but was captured and imprisoned within Uscington's detainment camp.
Sabone was well-known for her recent succession of previous schoolteacher Peter Helmanis. Frequently looked up to for her kindness and integrity, she dedicated a large majority of her free time to assisting with the relief efforts despite her rapidly expanding classroom. Our hearts are with the Sabonis family during this trying time.
Lorelean officials have not responded in regards to Sabone's fate.
